Conditions for
recognizing a board as a member of COBSE.
The Board with the following qualifications can apply for the membership of
COBSE. On receiving the application, the Executive Committee of COBSE will
examine the application on merits.
Conditions for recognizing a board as a member of COBSE :- A board must be
constituted by an Act of State Legislature or Parliament. It should have a defined
territory of its operation. It has to conform to the
National Curriculum Framework and send a copy of its curriculum,
syllabus and textbooks to COBSE. It should submit, along
with application to COBSE a
copy of its rules and regulations including the rules of affiliation of
schools. It should also inform COBSE
about the schedule of external examinations and the location of centers for
external examinations. The names of the office
bearers, the structure of the board and the officers manning the various
departments of the boards may also be given. Along with every
application for recognition by COBSE, a sum of Rs. 1000/- may be sent by
bank draft in favour of General Secretary of COBSE (as processing
charges). Once COBSE recognizes the board as its member, the board will have to
send the prescribed fee and the board will be deemed to have become the member
of COBSE. The member board should send the
annual subscription regularly. |
